[email protected]MemberHi Tomas:
I think I used the wrong term when I said topic.
I’m thinking a general category in the community form.
I say this because it would not be for help only.
I see it as a place to discuss any guitar/music related topic
You might consider poling us to see if the interest is there.
Thanks, Jack
[email protected]MemberHi Jeff:
I’m Jack,I now live in Arizona (no it’s not hot where I live) but,I only need to drive about 70 miles to get all the heat I need.
I’ve been with Tomas about a tear and a half.
I was not a new player when I joined and I’m still here.
Tomas teaches me something new or refreshes my memory
every month with his monthly lessons and practice plan.
I think you did the right thing

[email protected]MemberTomas: I don’t know how the rest of my classmates fell. But, I.m loving The Latin Course Adventure.
However the cord progression is a challenge. those changes aren’t exactly the the easiest I tried.
Keep up the good work. While I.m thanking you your monthly exercises are wonderful !
these are the places I.m spending my time with you.
Thanks a bunch,
Jack

Welcome! You and I have the same story.
I took classical guitar for about 4-5 years’ It was mostly rote practice’
Although a fellow student and I played background for dinner and such.
Mostly it was lessons out of our lessons books’
That really pretty lucrative. What I want to say is ” I don’t think you’ll be sorry”
I’ve been here a little over a year and have learned things I never would have
encountered where I was.

I have some experience with various tension-ed strings. But I wanted to wait for our Sage to answer first.
Tension also applies to how much punch you can get out of an unamplified guitar.
The higher the tension the louder.
Like Tomas, I prefer the middle of the road (Medium tension). the light tension are easier to play but I did not like the sound at all.
And with the high it was to difficult for me to play.
My advice is to stay away from extra high tension I have been told they can damage an instrument.
Maybe Tomas has some input on that. If I were you I,d experiment.
After all it,s your choice there’s no right or wrong.
