Hi Sissel, You can set YouTube to either make the video public (the whole world can find it), unlisted (doesn’t show up in the YouTube search), or private (must have a link to watch).

Welcome Ellen. It’s good to have you here. Leading groups in sing-along is like a great goal. I let the music at church for many years and really enjoyed it. It will be invaluable for you to learn to switch smoothly and without thinking about it. It’ll also help to understand common chord progressions and song structure. You’ll learn all that in both the Beginner’s Journey and the Guitar Gym. It’ll be helpful for you to go through the Beginner’s Journey quickly as a review. I look forward to seeing your progress.😀

Welcome, Ricky. It’s great to have you here. I’m guessing it’s pretty cold there in Duluth right about now (my sister is in Plymouth)? I’m glad you’re enjoying the lessons.

    Hi James,

The first place to put your attention is in the Guitar Gym. There’s a new practice session/lesson every day of the week. If possible I’d like to see you complete all 20 each month. You get around education and a clearer idea of where to put more work. Read this first: https://realguitarsuccess.com/secret-weapon-2-the-guitar-gym/

Also, check out the Real Guitar University > Course Modules. https://realguitarsuccess.com/courses/?search=&filter-categories=course-module

You’ll find a variety of courses on different subjects and more on the way. I recommend this in addition to the guitar gym (not in place of it).

    Hi Shivanshu,

Hah… you’re right on track according to my timeline.

    Read the section on 6 – 12 months: https://www.tomasmichaud.com/how-long-to-learn-guitar/

It might be a good time to review.

    Hi Greg,

Over time the calluses on your finger will get harder. It has the effect of not only making it firmer when you press down the note but also reducing the pain. It really is just part of a process.

There’s another thing going on. You’re making subtle adjustments on how you angle your fingers and where you place them on the fretboard. It’s not something you usually get just right in the first few weeks… Or even months.

Pressing harder is not the only way to reduce the buzzing. But it usually takes a while to figure out the subtle movements.

Glad I asked. There’s an entire workbook for this course that’s missing. I’ll have that added by tomorrow this time. The button will be on the initial page of the entire course.

    Hi Dora,

Tell me more. What made you ask. Did you see a lesson for this song?

The reason I ask is I have several versions of sheet music for this song and I want to get you the right one.

Welcome, Sissel. I am absolutely delighted to have you here. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions here or below the lessons if I can help.

BTW… The easiest way nowadays to create a video of your playing and post it is with your phone and YouTube. I made a video to help: https://realguitarsuccess.com/create-guitar-playing-video/

No pressure, but I think once you get the hang of it you have fun.
