For my two cents. I believe your correct, start from the beginning.
It certainly won’t hurt you. Yes, you have developed some bad habits 🙂
I’ve been there

Welcome! You are not alone. By the way, you are a long ways from being the senior in this group.
With Magical Tomas and patience on your part, this program works!

[email protected]MemberTomas:
I,m glad you liked it. AS you know
I have his music. By the way it,s
in standard notation witch I am used to and also Tab.
I’m using the vocal rendition from the Kennedy Center
as a guide and working my way through his arrangement.
I obviously can’t do every thing he does. Heck, if I could
I never would have met you 🙂
Jack
[email protected]MemberTomas:
Thank you for your effort! you are amazing in your dedication to your students.
No Bull !
I have seen and studied those videos at length. The one I really like is by
Milos Pernica https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZsDPtCqvSc Here is a copy
of the sheet music. OOps it won’t paste. If you open the video
scroll down and you can get the PDF file. I have the hard copy
if you want it I can make a copy and send it to you.
Parts of it are way over my head but I can rearrange it or find a way around it.
It’s a long term project.

[email protected]MemberSorry to repost on the same subject.
I can’t find a way to edit my previous post.
Repetitive motion will eat our lunch!
If you’ve ever trained for anything with out
realizing this you’ve learned the hard way.
I don’t emphisize the same practice every day.
I’ll break it up from day to day with other
lessons.

[email protected]MemberI have struggled with a sore thumb for years. I certainly agree with Tomas on Positioning.
There’s also the pressure concern don’t use more pressure than necessary.
Niether of these concerns fix it for me. While I certainly try to adhere to both,
it doesn’t seem to help much. What does help is, I take breaks in my practice time
or divide it into sections. I do warm up exercises BUT DON’T OVER DO IT.
Thirdly, I exercise my thumb durring the day. I simply move my thumb in circles.
I find it a little painful but doing this relaxes my thumb and makes it easier the next day.
Hope this helps

I see you are over here also. Yeah it’s kinda the same but different.
I did say hello to answer the question.
But, I do feel is kinda what do you need to work on.
I kinda eliminate stuff I don’t think I’ll use.
I know I can’t keep up with every thing 🙂
Jack
[email protected]MemberFrank I didn’t bore you with it. but yes 🙂 I’ll be 77 in feb.
