Knowing the notes on the fretboard is incredibly valuable. Not just for playing barre chords. But for all of guitar playing. The more you know the notes on your guitar, the easier it is to learn and play new things.
We’ll get into a little music theory (it’ll be simple, I promise!) and a good exercise to start learning the note names.

Tomas right on…. when i first started to learn guitar i did my homework to see where i would start learning guitar, so i started with classical guitar, for the sole reason that it showed me not only to learn guitar but to learn the notes and strings , and read standard notation, which i do not know it fully still and back then i did not know and understand what i was doing, but i kept at it as much as i was able to. and now with you as my teacher and having you explain things it is really coming together . in some areas are new to me like the power chords but things are starting make a lot of sense now with a good teacher. Thank You Tomas -RO-
