This is awesome, Jaume. I was particularly impressed with your steady rhythm. Guitar player are notorious for speeding up and slowing down. Good work! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jim. Thanks for taking the time to tell us about yourself. Your enthusiasm is infectious. It helps me remember why I wanted to teach guitar. In fact I’m excited to go make some new lessons right now. I look forward to hearing from you more in the future.

    Hi Jordan,

You can access the portal on YouTube at anytime, but the action will start at start time. Until then you’ll see an image, a chat box and a timer.

Hi Tony. It’s nice to hear from you. I see others have success with the idea that Shulamit talked about. Here’s a video I created recently that might help: https://www.tomasmichaud.com/a-shape-barre-chord/ Different things work for different people.

    Hi Jordan,

I’m experimenting with a gamification plug-in. Right now the points are too give a sense of accomplishment. In the future I’d like to develop the system more. Do you have any ideas?

I like your Gravatar Jordan. Is that you when you are a child?

Hi Jordan, I’ve just rolled out a big upgrade on Monday with some changes to the structure of the site. The 5-Minute practice Sessions are being placed at strategic places in the course Beginner’s Journey (some are already there). The reason for this is they are meant for practicing and I want students to have the proper instruction so they practice them correctly. I would recommend to get the full benefit of this system that you go through the Beginner’s Journey (https://realguitarsuccess.com/lessons-2/beginners-journey/) course. My understanding of Gospel music is that it uses the same foundation as other popular styles of guitar. This way you’ll get a solid foundation.

If you’d like to look at the older list of 5-Minute sessions you can still access them here https://realguitarsuccess.com/real-guitar-u/practice-library/5-minute-practice/

Let us know more about your background/level in the forum so we can help more.

Hi Jordan, that’s not something I would do unless I received a lot of requests (you’re the first). Here’s a link to a few Gospel guitar courses on JamPlay: https://www.jamplay.com/guitar-lessons/genres/43-gospel?

Also here’s a YouTube lesson from a reputable instructor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TsbE01xbi8

Hi Col. Welcome. Thanks for telling us a little about yourself. The four string Martin Tenor is new to me. I looked it up and get a sample on YouTube. It sounded great.. I couldn’t find the notes. It is tuned like the top four strings of guitar?
