Learning the notes on the fretboard is like learning the alphabet when you’re young. If you know all of the letters, you can form words and sentences. It’s the same for the guitar. When you know the notes you can start to build chords, scales, and songs.
Knowing the notes on the 5th and 6th strings gives you access to easily finding notes on the rest of the strings. Here is the first trick to find the notes on the 3rd and 4th strings.

Oh my goodness, what an amazing simple way to learn the natural notes on the 4th & 3rd strings from the 6th & 5th strings….oh my this is really going to help to finally learn more of the fretboard of how it’s laid out & how it works also for the sharps & flats.
