Magnet and Metal
Today we’re exploring one of the most useful tricks in the guitarist’s toolbox—common chord progressions. By practicing chords in groups (instead of just one at a time), you’ll start to recognize patterns that show up in tons of songs.
We’ll use a B minor–G–D–A progression. It’s been used in everything from The Scientist to Zombie to Shivers—seriously, this one gets around. You’ll practice smooth chord changes, learn why these chords work together, and discover how to move this whole pattern into any key.
Barre chords are included, but you’ll also get a no-barre option that still sounds great. We’ll even add some bass notes if you’re ready to spice it up.
