On day two, we’re taking it up a notch by shifting the song into the key of G — one of the most useful keys you’ll ever play in.
We’ll work with the one, four, five progression in G: that’s G, C, and D7. Swapping in a D7 instead of a regular D adds just the right bit of tension, giving your progression a warm, bluesy feel that naturally pulls your ear back to G.

I’m getting better at keeping track of the number of strums I’ve done even when there’s six of them. Those up and down in the middle really help. All downstrums would be insane.
