3/4 Bass Strum
The bass strum pattern we learned is in the 4/4 (four-four) time signature. They can also be played in other time signatures. Like 3/4 (three-four).
The feel changes completely when you play it in 3/4. It feels a little more upbeat and peppy. You’ll see it in Country, Folk, and Bluegrass. And Mariachi music is very well known to use this.
Just by changing the strumming pattern you can change the entire vibe of a song. Even using the same chords.
