Tab computer program

In the last live session, Tomas mentioned a program called Guitar Pro which lets you put the tabs for a song in the computer rather than writing them out by hand. I looked at the program which looks great, but it costs a good sum of money and since my computer runs Linux was incompatible for me. Therefore, I went looking for another program and found an open-source multi-platform one called TuxGuitar. It does everything that I need and is compatible with Guitar Pro files as well.
