Now that you’re familiar with hammer ons and pull-offs, let’s put them together in an exercise.

Try to not let the other strings ring when you play this. You can dampen them by gently resting the side of your palm on the strings by the bridge. The tricky part is to not dampen the string you’re playing! This takes some time to develop, so don’t stress too much about it.
