I am loving this. I see Flamenco players and it’s hard to see what they’re doing with their fingers so it’s nice that the mystery is unraveled. thank Tomas
Excellent chord & finger exercises.
Going through the Barr Chord Adventures sure has helped with this course even though we are not using barr chords here , the fingerpicking lessons and exercises in the barr chords Adventures is very helpful …
Hi Diane, I was having the same problem. I started placing my pinky and ring finger near the sound hole to stabilize my right hand and put my camera on selfie mode to see my fingers as I practice the pattern. A mirror will work as well. It has helped improve my practice of the Flamenco fingerpicking pattern. Hope this helps and good luck.
I am having trouble keeping my right hand in a stable position. I put my pinkie by the sound hole but I still miss strings. I notice you don’t seem to have an anchor.
You’re right Diane… I don’t use an anchor. I couldn’t if I wanted to. I cut the tendon in my pinkie in an accident when I was 19. I’ve seen many folk and pop “finger picking” guitarists that use the anchor. Usually the pinkie. Classical and flamenco guitarist don’t.
I don’t think one is right or wrong. I would say for more advanced flamenco my right hand moves too much to depend on an anchor. For finger picking it pretty much stays in one place.
If you use your pinkie to stabilize the right hand, and many folkies do, it will impede your playing for classical guitar and flamenco. In those two styles the right hand will need to move and not be stationary in one position.
Would be nice to have a «chordchart» so you better can see the finger placement if you dont know all chords by heart
Ah its in the tab… 😀

I am loving it so far
Nice to come back a few months later and see I can play this more fluently now.
This is great. I have never used fingerpicking. This is not what my hands are used to but your course works. Thanks.
