I had gotten through lesson 12 in finger style but haven’t practiced that for awhile. I guess I’m trying to learn too fast. I’ll go back with my trusty metronome.
You could try going slower and using a metronome. This is often a symptom of trying to do something that your not quite prepared for. Maybe start with simpler exercises?

I am having trouble keeping my right hand fingers in position to continue picking pattern. Tips?
