Welcome to Day 2 of the Spanish Guitar Challenge! Today, we’re adding three expressive chords—D minor, C add9, and G minor 6—to the rumba flamenca strum you learned yesterday.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Finger each chord comfortably

  • Use anchor fingers for smooth transitions

  • Combine rhythm and chords into a flowing progression

With just a few minutes of relaxed, focused practice, you’ll start building the muscle memory and confidence to bring that Spanish sound to life. This progression is the heart of the full piece coming in Day 4—so let’s get strumming!

The easiest chord is Cadd 9 because I play that often. I usually play Dm with pinky, but the transitions are easier here using ring finger. Do have a problem with palm touching first string if I don’t make a conscious effort.
