Stand By Me

In this final session of the week, we’re bringing everything together with a bit of a challenge—and a lot of fun! Today, we’re working on combining the bassline with the chords and the strumming pattern for Stand By Me. This technique adds a rich, professional touch to your sound, so don’t worry if it feels a bit tricky at first.

The most important thing is to take what feels comfortable. If focusing on chords and strumming is your jam right now, that’s absolutely perfect. If you’re ready to try adding the bassline, go for it! Everyone’s guitar journey moves at its own pace, and there’s no rush.

All I ask is that you give today’s practice a solid 10 minutes. After that, check it off and decide if you want to revisit it later. Remember, learning guitar is like building a friendship— sometimes a little awkward, but always rewarding.

Hey Thomas, did you mean for the Shining Star solo to go over Stand By Me?

Tomas, I never tried to learn this beautiful song because of the strumming part, but you made it easy to learn, so… another song to the bag! Thanks a lot!

Jaume, we are so lucky that we can overcome our limits, aren’t we? You with the strumming and I with the fingerpicking. What a privilege to follow Tomas’s lessons!
