  • DESCRIPTION

If you were to watch a guitar player strum through chords, you’ll notice that their arm doesn’t stop. No matter the strumming pattern their arm is always in a down-up motion. This is what I like to call the Pendulum.

This is the key to unlocking almost every strumming pattern. Even if you add dynamics, muted strums, or don’t hit the strings on every ‘down’ or ‘up’. Your strumming arm is running like a machine.

In this close up of continuous strumming, I noticed my motion of Pendulum was not straight line up and down. It was a like a circular motion down and up . Not a big circle but a collapsed or flattened circular motion. Smooth and easy. Is it ok ?
