Tomas,
I am SO HAPPY to see how you are teaching A Major, with the buckled finger to do a mini, two-string barre. Having struggled with doing a clean A with the jammed-together three finger technique (which barely works at the 1st fret – and doesn’t come close higher up the fretboard), and nearly giving up on ever doing A Shape Barre Chords, I had just last week discovered this technique with all three sets of fingers.
I had seen other techniques, in particular with a three string barre with the middle or ring finger, but my fingers don’t work that way. But this way does work for my fingers, and with practice, should make clean sounding A Major and A Shape Bar Chords possible. And leaving the pinkie or middle finger available for ornamentations. Woo-hoo!!!
I had not seen any other instructor teach this (as well as searching YouTube for help on this many times) – and had discovered it on my own. Glad to see it validated by a professional.
Thanks, DaveJay
