TomasAdministratorHi JoAnn,
Welcome! Glad you made it. Looks like you’re a proud Grandma (I just turned to Grandpa last year).
I look forward to supporting you. Please feel free to let me know here in the community forum how I can help.

JoAnnMemberThank you and congratulations to you. I am a new grandma too. It is the best. They touch the strings and their eyes light up.
Interesting note to your first lesson chords E and Am. I know you explained that the fingering you use are just 2. I know a “few” chords and use 3 fingers for those chords, so at first I was confused until I realized it did not matter. The exercise starts with the 4th and then 3rd string so the fact that I am holding down the extra string does not matter.
I know you can laugh but for me it was a little ah ha moment.
Thanks again,JoAnn

Alan WayneMemberHi and welcome. I don’t know anything about being a Grandma, but, I do know that my learning to play the guitar, and have fun came about from listening to Tomas.
I also, kid that I am, wandered off and jumped ahead, only to return to his method of teaching – and moved forward!
In the end, it’s all good, and nice to meet ya!
Wishing you the best,
Alan
