Hi Tina,
Good question… Thanks for asking. I am leaving my fingers down. In general, I’ve trained myself to not make any more movement than is necessary… this can be referred to “economy of motion”. In this case, there is no need to take my first finger off when I place my third finger down. For many students this takes practice and it’s not something I would worry too much about right now. I do recommend practicing some basic exercises like this one as a warm-up each day and working on things like economy of motion, keeping the hand relax, getting the fingers close to the fret, and playing at an even tempo.

Thomas, I can’t tell, are you lifting your first finger off the fret before going to the third fret of each string, or are you leaving all fingers down until you advance to the next string?

Yahoo! All fixed… this tech stuff can be a little finicky 🙂

Hi Tony… I’ve fixed the Slow version. I’m still working on the rest.

Hi Tomas,
I have the sound out of sync with the video on this and on lesson 2.
It feels very unsettling to have my ears telling me something that my eyes disagree with.
Tony
