In every scale, each note is represented by a chord. These are typically Major or minor chords. You can also keep adding notes to these chords to create extended chords. Extended chords are Major and minor chords that get more notes added on top. The most common and fundamental version are 7th chords. These small additions create an interesting and exotic sound.
