- DESCRIPTION
You may recognize this lick from a very popular Eagles song. It’s basically an A minor chord with a walking bass line. You can also think of it as a pedal point lick. That’s normally where a lick revolves around a single note. In this case it’s an entire chord.
It can give the section a droning effect like in this song. Or it can give the part a solid musical center, like AC/DC’s Thunderstruck.
Pay special attention to the fingering I’m using. I’m maintaining as much of the A minor chord as possible while playing the ascending lick.

Hi Tomas, I like this lick but I have a question. When playing your Hotel From Hell, (Hotel California) would you start with this Am lick or use it to start the 2nd verse?
It’s the middle part between the two sections of the chorus. I’ll create a lesson that shows this.
It has the right video now.
The video is G major scale while the tab and the title are A Minor Eagle’s Lick.
Thanks Larry… I have my assistant going in there to fix it.
