When you’re learning anything new it’s best to learn a little bit at a time. I like to teach fingerstyle songs in sections. And each section one measure at a time. When you get two measures learned then you can play those two together. Then learn and add the third measure.
That’s essentially what we’ve been doing with this song. The song itself is a lot of fun to play and is a good challenge in itself. But the lesson of how to learn a new song is as important as the techniques you’re learning.
