Today we’re exploring a new strumming pattern that will add depth to your song. You’ve made great progress this week with the Scale Up, Scale Down exercise, those pull-offs in the main lick, and weaving melody notes through chord shapes.

What’s exciting about this new strumming pattern is how it transforms the feel of the song—almost like giving it a new heartbeat. The same chords can sound completely different just by changing how you strum them. This pattern has a gentle bounce, creating spaces for those melody notes to shine.

If your strumming hand feels a bit stiff, don’t stress—that’s totally normal. Strumming works best when you loosen up and let your wrist flow naturally. We’ll break down the pattern step by step, so by the end, you’ll be strumming with confidence and adding a whole new dimension to your playing!

I had to slow it down to half speed but I think I got it. I was thinking the extra bit was on the end, but if I got it right the extra is inserted in the middle of it.
