Bass runs aren’t just for basses! A well placed bass run can spice up your chord progressions. In this lesson you’ll learn an ascending and a descending bass run over a G and C progression. Mixing strumming and single note licks is more common than you might think. 

This might have a Folk or Country sound, but the same idea can be used in any musical context. Players like Stevie Ray Vaugh, John Mayer, and even a lot of Rock and Metal players do this.
