Welcome to Day 3 of the Spanish Guitar Challenge! Today, we’re adding a beautiful fingerpicking pattern to your toolkit. Don’t worry if you’ve never fingerpicked before—breaks it down step-by-step so anyone can follow along.

You’ll learn:

A simple 4-finger pattern using thumb, index, middle, and ring

How to “plant” your fingers for accuracy and control

How to apply the pattern to D minor, C add9, and G minor 6

It’s all about timing, touch, and staying relaxed. With just five minutes of focused practice, you’ll bring your chords to life and start sounding like a real guitar player.

You now have rhythm, chords, and fingerpicking—Day 4 is where it all comes together!

70 and also just playing about for my own enjoyment.

I’m 68 and a half. I started playing during Covid, but not very intelligently. I just play to amuse myself. I don’t really play songs much because I spend most of my time working on things I can’t do. And that’s a lot of things.
