Have you heard someone call out a chord or note by using a number? Like “the one chord”. Or maybe you’ve seen something like ”I-vi-IV-V” written out. What’s the deal with that?
There is a system in music that uses numbers to call out chords or notes. It may look confusing, but the basics of the system are actually pretty easy to understand.
