- DESCRIPTION
Moveable scales are scale shapes that you can move up and down the fretboard, as long as you start on the same string. In this case, we’re starting on the C note on the 5th string so it’s a C Major scale. If I started this same pattern 2 frets up on the same string, it would be the D Major scale.
By learning this one shape you’re really learning all of the Major scales.

You’re right Jack. I practice the Segovia scales for many years. They work well for classical, but not the best for improvisation. I intend to present scales a little each month in a more accessible and versatile way.
I’m not yet have Segovias Scale book. Sir
this is a page out of my classical guitar days 🙂
I didn’t know you had Segovias Scale book
